Exactly because of accidents caused by our beloved pets, I reject laminate. Because unfortunately, the quilt wears out over time. You can also see on laminate more quickly when it is mopped with a lot of moisture. Even if you stick to it and mop rather dry. But real wood should actually be more robust in this regard. Especially since the floor is also in the kitchen where liquid can sometimes spill onto the floor. From what I have gathered, it is rather a matter of taste whether you want oiled parquet or one with a lacquer seal. On Saturday I am going to the flooring specialist store with my wife to take a closer look at the parquet floors.

That's it. For myself, I bought oak smoked oak invisible (short plank) for €24.5/sqm net during the renovation in 2021.
That's the current price for the long plank... (wasn't really different back then either).
Ordered a total of 4 times and also recommended to neighbors.
