That's funny, I also had a phone call with Franz Sießl back then. Ultimately, our 200 sqm second-choice parquet came from the supplier "Parketterlebnis," also because they happened to have the large quantity of specific B-grade parquet from the manufacturer MEISTER that I needed in stock; the price was somewhere around 25-30 euros about 4 years ago. I don't have any current experience, but I would definitely choose the same again, since B-grade is technically flawless and you practically can't see any difference. Personally, I probably wouldn't use screed again, but rather screw OSB onto the beam structure, insulate with wood fiber in between, and lay the parquet floating and by myself (I wouldn't want to glue it myself). I'm sure this won't be met with unconditional approval, but since our first house we've done it this way and have repeated it, or we've always screwed it directly onto the OSB boards without any flooring above. I didn't want screed, and underfloor heating would also work without it; that has always been purely a matter of personal preference.
