That's funny, I also had a phone call with Franz Sießl back then. Ultimately, our 200 sqm second-choice parquet came from the supplier "Parketterlebnis," also because they happened to have the large quantity of specific B-grade parquet from the manufacturer MEISTER that I needed in stock; the price was somewhere around 25-30 euros about 4 years ago. I don't have any current experience, but I would definitely choose the same again, since B-grade is technically flawless and you practically can't see any difference. Personally, I probably wouldn't use screed again, but rather screw OSB onto the beam structure, insulate with wood fiber in between, and lay the parquet floating and by myself (I wouldn't want to glue it myself). I'm sure this won't be met with unconditional approval, but since our first house we've done it this way and have repeated it, or we've always screwed it directly onto the OSB boards without any flooring above. I didn't want screed, and underfloor heating would also work without it; that has always been purely a matter of personal preference.

Who can install parquet flooring as a floating floor can also glue it down. I was also afraid of that, which turned out to be unfounded in hindsight.

Well, the mechanical process isn’t much harder, that’s true. But gluing tolerates fewer mistakes.
I either measured or calculated a room incorrectly and ended up about 2.x cm before the wall at the other end. So basically too narrow to clip another piece on. But also too far to just finish there. So I really took almost everything down again and cut the first row differently. It was an extra effort of about an hour or so, but it worked.
If you glue it, that doesn’t work. Then you really have to saw the narrow strip lengthwise, smooth the tongue with a chisel (depends on the click system), and then hope the glue holds the small strip forever. Or, if there’s a cupboard anyway, just live with the gap.
Or from the start do everything right. But mistakes do happen.
As a result, I would say floating installation is possible even if it’s your first time. When gluing, you should have at least laid a few rooms floating by now. Which doesn’t mean that naturally gifted people can’t also get it right instantly.

That is exactly what I wanted to express with my statement.

The fear can also be managed quite well without a psychiatrist by doing the first room together with a professional, getting a few tips, and realizing that it’s not rocket science. The most important thing is to think BEFORE doing something. But that is transferable to many areas of life... Semicolon hyphen parenthesis close
