Shouldn't there be something like in video conferences for video doorbells?? Meaning that you see the person in front but the background is obscured.

Doesn't it not matter anyway if it is not recorded? With a video doorbell, one's own interest in a recording would probably be quite low or would treat niche cases, right?

Isn't there a difference between a doorbell (recording only after active activation of the door chime) and a surveillance camera (recording triggered by motion detection)

With mine, I combined that; snapshots of the people who rang the doorbell are taken on the internal SD card (so I know who I missed), and I also record on motion (a NAS with Surveillance Station). In my field of view is almost the entire sidewalk to the front door and my current bicycle parking spot ...)

Ok, I find that rather worrying. So that recording already starts when the doorbell rings or there is movement. Strictly speaking, shouldn't there be a data protection notice on the front door?

I would also find that concerning if I knew and it was IN FRONT of the door instead of BEHIND it :D. But the camera is so unobtrusive and with an extreme fisheye ... and I say, where there is no plaintiff ...
