Why actually? For taste reasons?
I think it's a matter of construction. As far as I know, a terrace first has a gravel sublayer, then a chippings layer, and on top of that the terrace covering (stone or wood). The tiles need a different base underneath - e.g. concrete. The surface here should be approximately continuous and smooth. Then it can be tiled. This is my layman’s explanation. I’m not quite sure yet how the barbecue area will be constructed. I would have to look into it first.
I could imagine the outdoor bar. However, the issue with frost resistance of the tiles might possibly throw a wrench in the works for me. After all, they are designed as indoor tiles. Otherwise, I could imagine laying tiles under the garbage enclosure. Not for beauty, but it would certainly be easier to clean.
Mosaic table - the smooth bathroom wall tiles might work for that. However, my wife would probably go on strike - she has had to endure my old black tile table for the last 10 years (that we have lived together). It should actually have gone with the old wall unit. Now it has to stay because new living room furniture fell victim to the “cost markup” on the house. A rodent litter box - I had to read three times to figure out what was meant . Although my daughter wants a rabbit or something similar, this probably won't be an option, because my wife is allergic to the “rabbit straw” (or whatever it’s called).
