I really like your mirror. Is it something finished or did you build the indirect lighting yourself?

We have that one too. It also has indirect light downwards behind the mirror. Now I don't like it anymore :(

My husband said there weren't any. But I still remember that we always heard them from his bedroom in Australia every morning when we woke up.
Here, they are also called "laughing Hans." Recently at the zoo, we saw some, and when they made sounds, my husband immediately became nostalgic. :)

Washbasins were also one of our biggest problems. We didn't like anything at the BU. Furniture through the BU would have been very expensive too.

Normally not. If purchased through the SHK/General Contractor, there is a decent margin via kickback from the sanitary showroom, where you almost always pay the retail price.

We did it this way: Chose a washbasin from Villeroy & Boch, bought it online and stored it. Gave the installation drawing to the SHK and had the connections and wall reinforcement adjusted to fit the mounting. Got back about 30 euros for the standard basin :p

And after moving in, hung the basin plus the cabinet ourselves.

Basin with cabinet would have cost around 2500 from the HSK, so it was still 900 this way.

No, we had a huge thread about that back then here in the forum. In the end, we found a well-known craftsman who installed it for us. The builder's plumber didn't want/couldn't install anything that we didn't buy from him.
