Good morning!

We are close to finalizing our single-family house planning; we want to build 1.5 stories with a 150cm knee wall (Drempel?) as compact as possible. So far, we have been very satisfied with the design from the planner of the construction company, but now that I am dealing with the interior, the living-dining-kitchen area seems somewhat cramped to me. We definitely want a seating area in the dining area, but I fear that this will be difficult (kitchen + seating area). Now I am considering whether we should generally enlarge the house so that everything fits (from 10.13 x 9 to 11 x 9.5). Maybe someone here has helpful tips?

The house has a basement, the clear room height in the living areas is 260 cm, a gable roof with dormer and 35° pitch is planned. The plot is about 900m² and a distance of 3 meters must be maintained from the neighbors. Two parking spaces (carport) at the front by the street are planned. Many thanks and best regards

Without knowing for sure, I doubt that it is single-storey with a 1.5 m knee wall and the design with a dormer.
Can you post the floor plans again as images?

You are right, it is also 1.5 floors, ground floor + upper floor with a 150cm knee wall. Attached are the files again as jpg

There are no 1.5 stories. I don't know which federal state you are from - in Lower Saxony that would probably be two full stories. Think about the entrance hall - it might be unnecessary maneuvering.

I have just deleted your other post; the discussion on the same topic only needs to be in one place

Rhenish greetings

We are not subject to any building regulations regarding the number of floors, we just don't want a house that is too tall and no low-pitched shed Tuscan roof, hence the overmasonry. Thank you, we will still adjust the entrance situation. My problem area is the living-dining area, I am afraid it is too small? We are building in Austria, if relevant.
