I would have the moisture in the wall measured so that you know for sure when it is dry enough. A leak detector usually does this as well. The measuring devices vary greatly, depending on their price. The mid-priced one that a craftsman might just buy and take out of his pocket is not good enough! You could ask the building insurance in advance. Water damage is water damage; whoever seeks recourse from whom afterward doesn’t matter to the builder. I would knock on the insurance’s door; they can also name a leak detector. The detection – and the moisture measurement is connected to it – is often generally covered by the building insurance, the expert does this, but this does not apply to the restoration.

Good luck to you all! All construction companies make mistakes; the difference seems to me to lie in the remediation.
