Trash bins or not? "Hide" or not? Photos?

Prompted by a response in another thread of mine, I am interested in how and where you store your trash bins. Please include a photo if possible. At the same time, I am starting a survey on whether, in your opinion, trash bins should be visible to "outsiders" (i.e., walkers, visitors, guests, passing drivers, Google Maps ;-) etc.) or not. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a photo yet, as we have not moved in. However, as partially already known, I am envisioning a dense hedge in the shape of a snail, inside of which the blue and yellow bins, as well as the smaller residual waste bin, are located. We are foregoing a bio bin because I would like to set up one or more rotating double composters.

To be honest, I don't really worry about something like that. Maybe it’s also because our house is from 1930, so you have to make some compromises anyway.

Our black bin stands behind an entrance stair landing (the ground floor starts about 1 meter above the ground, with a fieldstone foundation below).
The blue and green bins are a bit overgrown by the garage, yellow bags hang in the shed.
So everything is arranged in a way that makes sense to us, relatively independent of how it looks to others...

Huh? Why not? Sure, boxed in looks nicer, but somehow I’m always happier not to live in a new development area :) here it doesn’t matter at all :)

edit: and why are there actually two threads on the same topic? :-D

We have no regulations on this. At first, we had ours standing behind the garage. But there they were always in full sun. That was really nice for the organic waste bin in the summer. That’s why they now stand in front of the garage in the shade. Basically fully visible to all passing cars and pedestrians. I actually don’t really care if pedestrians see my trash bins. Everyone has trash bins and they belong to every house.

Ours are in the garden at the front near the actual entrance (which we only use for the trash bins) behind a bamboo hedge (which actually belongs to the pond), and are therefore not visible to us from the house and terrace and the largest part of the garden. From the street, they are. But I don't care, I'm not designing my property for others.

The plan is to park it behind the technical room. Still close to the front door, but out of our sight. Connection to the path is rather unproblematic and the buffer strip does something useful ;) And if I ever have time, a little house will be built for the neighbor's sake. Alternatively, there is also space between the garden house and the carport.
