With us, the trash bins always move... now they are behind the garage. Before, we also had such a gate for the bins in the driveway that was wide enough... But over time we didn’t find that nice anymore either. But I don’t think they will stay there long, [they] are already looking for a new place.

It can certainly be higher quality with us as well, but we had nothing before, and for 20 bucks I'm happy for now. A glaze will also be invested in, for everything else I'm too stingy... After all, it's about garbage cans.

Hello, we currently have our bins -4 pieces!!- in the garden. I don't want that anymore at our new house. I find gabions nice, I was thinking of a corner solution... there are also nice stainless steel containers, but of course they are very expensive. Whoever has too much money left can also have such a ground-recessed alternative built, where there is a kind of elevator. I once saw that in some magazine.

Sorry, when I am at home all day on the weekend, I regularly throw something in the trash as I pass by. I neither feel like waiting 30 seconds for my trash bin to be raised, nor do I feel like collecting all the trash in the house until I finally raise the bin. Not everything that is technically perfect and "clean" is also practical...

A retractable one is indeed a nice but quite expensive gadget.
My wife always collects – so I can then take it down. Paper, residual waste (in the bin or diaper pail), kitchen waste for the compost, plastic for the bag. I have to get my steps in too, otherwise I’ll only get stronger.
