I think the idea of a personal conversation and the question about another possible solution is quite good.

I stood at his door for a good three-quarters of an hour.. Besides "I asked the environmental agency" and "I asked the building authority" and I have contacts at xxxx, so I have the information bla bla bla, nothing else came.

I wanted to ask him, but he interrupted me and said "Ask your contractor, after all, you pay him and not me." :rolleyes:

But whatever, if he has any problems, then that's how it is. He's not the type of neighbor you want to have more to do with besides a "morning" anyway. At least not us.

On the other hand, it should be made clear to this gentleman that complaints and obstructions from authorities only lead to the construction site taking much longer and being closed more often.

I asked my general contractor, and they told me that the neighbor should contact the police if he has any problems; then he will receive the same information. Everything is approved..

I would have that confirmed by the traffic safety officer, not by the construction manager.

It's about responsibilities and liability for traffic safety obligations.
