So I understood the general contractor to mean that the crane will not stay on the property (since it is only 389 sqm), and that this probably won’t be necessary either.

I probably need to inquire more precisely about how this will be handled...

A truck-mounted crane was brought to the house. Additionally, the walls, all on the main street. They also placed a house wall onto the street and installed insulation there. We have 1200 sqm, 13 m height difference, no 90-degree angle, the narrowest spot is the one facing the street. The area alone does not explain it. The whole thing, I mean, cost around 1200 euros. And it was good that way. A lady overlooked the signage, the traffic light, and the truck. The trouble without closure. As luck would have it, telephone cables were supposed to be laid at the same time. They were so brazen. They demanded that we remove the traffic light and closure. They had applied for a sidewalk closure following our closure. Sidewalk closure is cheaper. The correct procedure would have been a half-side closure with a traffic light. They wanted to work on the street without permission.

And what happened then: Did the lady who overlooked cause the accident and now the telephone cable layers have to pay?

Telephone cable installer had to pay a fine (Buschfunk) because he applied incorrectly on purpose and had received a new permit after our move-in.

The good lady was at fault because everything was set up properly. The cable installer could not do anything about it. He was at the other end.
