Hello everyone,

in our new building, the tiles have now been laid.
Some rooms are getting parquet flooring...

So, in various rooms, tiles - parquet or parquet - parquet are adjoining.

We have underfloor heating in all rooms and a flowing screed underneath...
A height compensation should not be necessary beyond 1-2 mm for the different coverings...

Which transition would you recommend? The transition strips are not exactly very nice.... If the strips are necessary, should they be glued? (Partly the expansion joints of the screed will be at the location of the transition profile...)

Thanks for the answers.
Best regards, Christian

Just take a look at the Schlüter rails. There, the tile edge trim (e.g. stainless steel). Then simply lay the parquet cleanly up to the rail. Sample image, it doesn’t matter which coverings they are. It provides a clean finish or separation of the coverings.

We only have a small cork strip. According to our parquet layer, it is necessary anyway, even though the parquet was glued. It looks very neat.

I would also recommend a Schlüter profile, although Schlüter is the company and there are also others, in most cases the narrow stainless steel edge provides a wonderful transition.

I can also recommend the cork strip. It can be compressed slightly and therefore looks a bit cleaner in the fit, I think.
