Tiles offer and tile laying service

the tiling is coming up soon at my new build.
I have an offer from a supplier for this:

- 240 sqm 90 x 90 tiles
- 155m baseboard
Total price €7,500

Is this cheap?

A local tiler has made the following offer for tiling:

€9,000 (including materials like adhesive, grout, etc.)

Are both acceptable?

Is it cheap?

Is a Porsche cheap? Yes, compared to a Ferrari. What does cheap mean to you? What kind of quality do you want? Overall, it is a reasonable price - whether the tiles meet your requirements or certain quality (which you need for the size), you have to know. For example, I only paid €5.95 per sqm for my 80x80 tiles in the hallway. For that price, I get tiles that are completely sufficient for the hallway (which does not belong to the apartments in my house).

Is laying tiles always done with tiles? Or only the tiles from the dealer and only the labor including consumables at the [Fliseur]? It is not entirely clear. If it is as I wrote, the labor price is probably normal. The price of tiles depends a lot on the tiles themselves, so it cannot be answered in a general way.

Tiles for approx. 30 €/m2 are mid-range. For 90/90 okay. It just has to please... We also have tiles for < 10 €/m2 and are satisfied with them. The installation at 37.5 €/m2 including adhesive etc. I find rather cheap given the current market situation. Are you sure that the installation of such large tiles as well as walls/baseboards is included in that price? What about tile cutting? Also included?

we are currently also installing tiles (ground floor 125 sqm)
Dimensions 80x80 and 120x120
Price tile 80x80 = €47.6 incl. VAT
Price tile 120x120 = €85 incl. VAT

The two dimensions are also available significantly more expensive but also 50% cheaper, all a question of quality, so this doesn't really help you.

What helps you more are the tile laying prices:
Wall tile 120x120 = €62/m² incl. VAT
Wall tile 80x80 = €57/m² incl. VAT

Floor tile 120x120 = €50/m² incl. VAT
Floor tile 80x80 = €45/m² incl. VAT

For your project and over 240 sqm, laying alone in and around Cologne is estimated to be around €14K,
so your prices are good!!
