Hello everyone,

we will have tiles installed on the ground floor. It was actually clear to us that the baseboard would also be cut from the tile.
Now we have been suggested the idea of instead installing a simple, white wooden baseboard.

How have you solved this? Feel free to include a photo :)

Thanks to you!

PS: Please no discussion about tiles as a floor covering in general

I wouldn’t like this combination, I would want to stick with the same building material. Maybe a white strip identical to the wall color but wooden strips and then a different wall again wouldn’t please me.

We have tiles with wooden baseboards in the hallway/kitchen downstairs and tile baseboards in the utility room and guest bathroom. The same upstairs: hallway and rooms with tiles and wooden baseboards, and bathroom with tile baseboards. However, the tiles upstairs are wood-look tiles (except for the bathroom).
I find tile baseboards look "cold", sterile, and uninviting in living spaces.

ha, 2 answers and 2 opposing opinions :D
We will also have a very subtle wood-look tile in 30x120. Just maybe as an addition.
In the bathroom, the tile baseboard is also installed.

: Do you perhaps have a photo of how the tiles look with the wood baseboard?

From my perspective, it's simple: generally, tiles to tiles and wood to wood. In the case of a special pattern or structure, like in the picture from , there can of course be good reasons to deviate from the "rule". Ultimately, anything that looks good is allowed.

I hope it is somewhat visible in the picture. The wood-look tiles look very realistic (mahogany).
