Are there already any initial experiences regarding the warmth under the terrace roof, and the noise level during rain?
We are also planning to sit outside next year and had a quote made over the weekend.
I'm digging up the topic again. We also have a roof in the south, but with sliding doors. Our only shading is a sun sail. In the height of summer, around midday, the entire garden on the south side is hardly usable anyway since we don’t have any plants yet. But: Surprisingly, it’s more pleasant if you close the front sliding doors because then a chimney effect occurs, and the hot air doesn’t stagnate. It feels easily like a 5-degree difference.
But now we are also building a pergola next to the terrace. The basic structure is also made of coated aluminum like the conservatory, which is durable. We will let it grow over with climbing plants. It will definitely be comfortable to stay there in the summer.
