Terrace roofing and design

Our roof has been in place since March. The previous rain showers were hardly noticeable on the glass roof, unlike the terrace roof with twin-wall sheets from the neighbor. I am still curious about the temperature development. I don't find the idea with the plants uninteresting at all.

I am also currently in the process of planning a terrace roof. I want to make it 4*5 meters and the weather side should be closed off with fixed glazing. What is your experience with awnings? What is better? To install the awning inside or outside???
