Telekom says TV is not possible - Can that really be true?

An HD stream is now also possible with DSL 16,000. But enough about Entertain now, that doesn’t seem to be available to the OP. Therefore, I would also implement Sat over IP.

16 connections only get Entertain if the downstream infrastructure allows it and if the connection, as already mentioned, will deliver at least 10 Mbit/s bandwidth. Otherwise, it will be rejected. Therefore, it is not correct to say that every 16 connection can receive Entertain – as the OP has experienced themselves.

I had planned it that way and gave up after about 10 months. 1. Problem, I only have one TV cable, ergo I can only record what I’m currently watching — not very practical. At first, we got by recording in SD and watching in HD. But once you get used to recording 3-4 things at the same time or with slight overlaps, you don’t want the other crap anymore. 2. Problem, I had bought a new Sat hard disk recorder, which basically works quite well, but the EPG is so lousy... it was just annoying. Recordings mislabeled or not labeled at all, with series you had to search anew every time... Telekom’s technology is already extremely advanced and user-friendly, so what the heck... subscribed to Entertain, boosted connection to 150 Mbit... now costs 65 instead of 40, but that doesn’t really matter.

That now reads like *seriously square eyes* I like watching series without ads and our life revolves around our child and not the news, so you have to be flexible sometimes.

I also like watching WISO or documentaries from ARD, I just don't always have the time to use the media library within a week.

4 recordings simply result from the overlaps, 5 minutes at the front and 5 minutes at the back ;)

In most series, however, you can quite well understand the context even if you miss an episode. Series without commercials: the joke is good. For several years now, product placement has had to be mentioned again in the credits as "production assistance" ;-)
