Telekom connection - line already laid, still have to pay 600€?

most of the time the providers (gas, electricity or water) lay the telecom cable in the trench as well. it is no effort for them and they receive some payment from Telekom for it. the Telekom technician (or contracted electrician) then connects the whole setup in the house/at the street. the flat rate is of course always fully charged. the service was rendered after all.

Not at all - no bill to Telekom. I specifically asked about that.


Basically, this is what matters to me:

Connection outside = free!
Connection inside = 600€


The work is (assuming the cable is already there) identical in both cases.

Oh, then you should write that as well. The pricing of Telekom is their business. But your connection is now inside and Telekom charges 600€ for that. I wouldn't want to have it outside either. How someone comes to the conclusion that you don't have to pay because of that is beyond me.

I don't understand that sentence.

Telekom usually pays for the earthworks + drilling (just not through a [weiße Wanne]). This costs €600. For that, you also have to specify everything very precisely (where the wall breakthrough should be, etc... etc...) For an external connection, you pay nothing because these services are not required. So why should I pay inside when everything is prepared identical to the external connection?
