In my opinion, such a scrap of paper is worth nothing; it needs a stamp and signature, then you can also verify whether it was really signed by a structural engineer. The risk would be too great for me in such a case; I would get an expert.

In my opinion, the sketch is exactly what I would plan. It is sufficient for the company. Why not for you? Extending the stairs is nonsense. You have the same problem there. Pouring concrete onto the rough surface is better in my opinion.

I am not an expert and am trying to clarify what would be correct/possible. Even if the solution is sufficient, this solution is not what I ordered.
My thought (the numbers are made up by me just for explanation): if I order the ceiling and stairs, where the reinforcement is calculated and ordered with, for example, a safety factor of 10, and the construction company then delivers a repair with a safety factor of 5, then I consider the order not fully fulfilled.
Furthermore, I am sure that several flexible conduits for electrical cables laid directly behind the corbel will be damaged.

What problem would I have then? Fortunately, I myself supplemented the reinforcement behind the corbel (in addition to the reinforcement plan). The remaining area in the concrete ceiling is not weaker than the original support surface/corbel.

The construction company says that on Monday an "official" document will come from the concrete plant. I am trying to find a building surveyor, but it is very difficult at such short notice. Therefore, I am trying to clarify here whether such a repair is common practice, or if the construction company is trying to pull a fast one on me.

That depends on the order – it was already suspected that it might have been "let’s do the shell construction as cheaply as possible."

Whether botching and further ruining is common practice depends on the league of the contracted construction company. If your contractor is a laborer slave driver, then certainly.

It is clear that the company made a mistake there. Who commissioned the cancellation of the Tronsole?

If they are too stupid to thread the staircase, then they should install the staircase before the ceiling above is concreted.

The defect is repairable. Which the company has also offered. A new staircase is an unreasonable demand.
