There are always ways to keep costs low, whether by storing at your own expense with warranty waiver, or, or, or. The main thing is that it’s there, the storage is probably cheaper than some nonsensical price a year later...

Nobody claimed it’s that easy, but the willingness to want to change something should be there, at least a decent argument should be present...

Do you then also waive the warranty? Or should only the builder do that towards the manufacturer?

or then install defective goods? Or quickly get new ones in case of theft? I wonder how someone can be so unaware of the current situation in the craft trades.

Buying is one thing, another point is that with prefabricated house builders, concrete work planning and scheduling for a house only happens once the sampling is completed. This is probably the real problem; capacities have been massively overbooked. Three houses down, they are building a Danwood house. Building permit about a year ago, currently planned installation date is the end of February or early March. So you are certainly not alone.

It's always better when you can't handle the truth. I would advise you to take the dates from your builder and add at least 3 more months. Then you have a somewhat realistic time horizon. Good luck.
