Summer thermal protection building application

The absurd thing is that there is a huge oak tree in the south of the property, which is why the living room windows will be in the shade most of the day.

Is this really the case throughout the year? When the sun is high in summer, the tree would have to be very close to the house to provide shade. Additionally, such a tree only has a limited width. So there can definitely be a few hours when the tree does not provide any shade.

I would not use roller shutters in the living area but rather Venetian blinds.

Don't see the thermal insulation as a burden but as an opportunity. You will be annoyed when you are sitting in the hot room and then want/have to retrofit something

Maybe a roof over the "supposed" terrace, which will then only be built "later," is sufficient.

So I don't intend to spend much time in the living room during the day in summer. That's what we have a garden for ;) And with well-designed floor plans, you can definitely shade the sunny side without sitting in the dark.

Sure, to have a lot of sun in the house during the transitional seasons, it's great. And in summer, you sit outside anyway.
