Do you want to make the entire length with this depth? You have space for deeper cabinets next to the door, right? I would then only make the first meter narrower and the rest at normal width.

Basically, Ikea Pax has something like that, of course... But it is IKEA after all. Maybe there is something like that at "Möbelum"? They have solid wood furniture in many variants.

Thank you for the tip - we had considered Pax - but then you have a step from 37 to 60 cm. We could just go with 50 cm all the way through. We would then place a desk by the window.

There isn't, because here they are called carpenters.

Solid wood furniture is certainly great and we have some too, but it doesn't have to be everywhere - especially with wardrobes I would think about it three times. Our PAX has survived 3 moves completely without complaint...

For the living room we have now had a lowboard made - fortunately my sister is a carpenter and so the piece was made exactly to the desired measurements. Oak solid wood... material price beyond good and evil.

At a 50 cm depth .. that includes the front .. there are difficulties with normal brackets. Because inside there are only about 46 cm available. You should check that.

I would definitely also stop by a local furniture store (specialist retailer) sometime. Or at the cabinetmaker. Today we were at various hardware stores looking for privacy screening for the carport. In the end, we drove back to the local specialist retailer. The goods are of much higher quality and! much cheaper and! include free delivery. Therefore: Ask one of the neighbors about a professional.
