Solid house or prefabricated house? Which suits us better?

We are also building a prefab house, but the modification of the planning didn't cost us anything at all. The only thing that costs is of course the difference for, for example, the window size. But even that stays within limits. Of course, bigger windows also cost more than smaller ones.

But we are not building with a "Skoda" prefab house company, but also not with the "Mercedes" among prefab house companies. I would say we are building a "VW".

The house (just under 150 sqm), rectangular, without "frills", without bay windows, without a basement costs us in the execution "almost finished" (so without flooring and painting work) almost exactly €200,000. Then come the typical additional house costs (35 - 40k), the land, painting work, and flooring.

Building a house including additional costs for 200k is actually not possible.

Hello Jaydee,

Your company is not a budget provider either and is – I think – in a good position :)
We are building solid (massive), and what surprised me a lot was that my request for floor-to-ceiling 2-meter windows and 1-meter windows instead of 175 cm and 88 cm cost absolutely nothing. We also took one double element more than standard, that was included as well. Only my extended window band adds a few hundred to the price ;) When I think of S...haus and D...wood , they charged for everything.

I wouldn’t have thought that... I thought O... would be more expensive!

Hello,

I can't believe that, especially not that the incidental building costs are supposed to be included. Maybe you could comment on the masonry/roof structure/the equipment/building description?

Rhenish greetings

Development costs (utility providers) are always the responsibility of the builder, as the costs are individual (e.g. Telekom) or depend on the length of the supply lines. Additionally, earthworks: how should the provider already know this? Therefore, I do not believe that these costs are already included.
