But then you don't have a smart home, just a "smart heating system." The OP wants a complete smart home to be subsidized. And that doesn't work. If I only install KNX for the heating, I might as well not bother.

Well, you can already cover a large chunk of KNX devices with a "just smart heating" system.

The question is just how far you want to take it...

You could, for example,

- include the basic structure of the system (you can't do without it) such as cable installation, larger distributor, power supply, IP interface, software.

- All push sensors with RTR
- Actuators for the heating valves

and since it’s supposed to be smart, you could also include this:

- Window contacts with the necessary binary inputs
- Gateway to controlled residential ventilation
- Various temperature sensors
- Weather station
- Logic engine
- Gateway to the heat pump

IMHO, a lot is already achieved in terms of KNX installation with this.

This is what the BAFA states:
Acquisition costs (replacement and new acquisition)
The implementation of electronic systems for operational optimization, increasing energy efficiency, and improving the grid compatibility of the funded heating technology systems is supported. In principle, both components of measurement, control, and regulation technology (MSR) as well as building automation technology up to comprehensive building management and energy management systems can be considered, provided they also serve the operational and consumption optimization of a fundable heat generator.
 Sensors, actuators, data loggers (e.g., also electricity and heat quantity measurements)
 digital/electronic radiator thermostats / room thermostats,
 displays or user interfaces for displaying current data relevant to energy consumption,
 digital/electronic systems for capturing and evaluating energy flows, energy consumption, and energy costs
 digital/electronic systems for energetic operational and consumption optimization or for improving the grid compatibility of the technical systems of the building ("Smart Home")
 building automation systems including field technology, building management technology, energy management systems
b. Assembly and installation
 including the required technical work and materials

Yes, I know the wording.

It was probably meant for the OP as well. Now he just has to say what exactly his question is. In between, there was also age-appropriate living...

Yes, so that would also be a lot in terms of KNX.

I am interested in which subsidies I can get for smart home systems. Whether BAFA, KfW or others. Everything related to this topic, basically.
