Hello everyone,

I recently watched a YouTube video from Smartest Home about the new subsidy for Smart Home integration in new buildings (also existing buildings). Has anyone already dealt with this? For me, this subsidy topic is somehow difficult to understand. Apparently, you can claim up to €50,000. I would like to have a KNX installation done in my single-family house that has not yet been built, but so far I don't have much money for KNX. How do I solve the problem?

Best regards
Stefan

The funding is not for the smart home but for the heating system. An efficient heat pump is subsidized depending on the type and efficiency (however, the requirements usually mandate a geothermal heat pump). If you receive this funding, then a "smart" heating control can be part of the heating costs and is subsidized. The total system costs are capped at 50K.

Therefore, the video is unfortunately quite sensationalist, although not incorrect in the strict sense.

Hello,

is it from or up to 50,000 €?

maximum 50K eligible costs, of which 35% (new construction) is granted as funding.

But there are subsidies for age-appropriate living, right? That's what I'm interested in; the heating issue is nothing new. I would like a proper opinion from someone who has actually dealt with it effectively.

You reported on the video and it is about the BAFA funding.

No reason to get snappy right away. Then keep looking.
