: The insulation WDVS is nothing new. Sooner or later, everyone is confronted with the info films and reports. However, in my opinion, it is not something to dramatize! And: one could have informed oneself early on. Mold should only occur due to incorrect ventilation; otherwise, the insulation works fine.

I find many packaged cheap meats in the supermarket worse. And I am not the only one who, after watching an info film, finds everything disgusting and yet reaches for it two weeks later. Every coin has two sides!

No, not even that. Because of me, no little polyester animals have to die ;-)

Thank you very much, yes, informing earlier is certainly correct, but catching all the information beforehand is rather unrealistic. The real shock came when I attended a specialist lecture for builders where very competent information about building materials was provided. That means you grow into the topic. The fact is, from my point of view looking to the future. Thermal insulation made from future hazardous waste, right now the lobby is cashing in and already (knowing this) making a good profit, only to force the property owner in a few years to dispose of the hazardous waste expensively. It is perverse to produce environmentally harmful insulation material in order to protect the environment. I can imagine that there will be mandatory requirements again, insulation with clay and straw??? Whoever has enough money builds with bricks, plaster on top and that's it, and doesn't care about the KFW subsidy. Unfortunately, I am not affected by this blessing. At the moment I still have an alternative, to remain a tenant in an old building. Best regards Frank

I never understand where these fears come from; if the insulation has been properly installed, then there is absolutely nothing that needs to be disposed of... why do disposal costs always come into play?

Because either some companies did not work properly or this type of insulation is not future-proof. This led to some old buildings (admittedly) here with us having to dispose of their oil-based cladding again after five! years. The facades looked terrible. However, I cannot say what the indoor climate was like. Since then, I have not been in the apartments yet. Whether meat, vegetables, or house in oil-based cladding... it is neither environmentally friendly nor necessary! The consequences are still unforeseeable today. But the lobby does not care. They make so much money from it...... If it can be avoided, why build with WDV? I am curious when this type of insulation will be banned by the EU.
