Single-family house with >180 sqm / basement / garage

Half a million for a single-family house with an existing plot, I can't believe it. Debt until the grave, I increasingly think either this forum is a special group or the generation after me consists only of spoiled brats with unrealistic demands.

Your statements are a bit presumptuous. Not everyone here lives in the far north where houses are apparently still cheap.

Our house with 190 sqm costs 420k in standard with comparable size. And there is nothing luxurious about it at all. Outdoor area and garage are also not included.
What did you pay for how much area?

190 sqm could already be called luxury…

- Bigger than 180 sqm
- Masonry double garage
- etc, etc.

So it won’t be the standard bathroom, the cheap fireplace from the hardware store, the decentralized ventilation system, a lousy double terrace door, the simple garage door, normal roller shutters, no KNX, the plastic front door, etc.

You yourself know what higher standard means...

180 -220 sqm plus basement says TE....190 sqm single-family house you say.... such huge sheds, I don’t think I’m being presumptuous, but you are losing perspective. (Or is it about buildings with an ancillary apartment/holiday apartment or for 4 children). Paid for 108 sqm plus garage 6*3 without land all incl. with garden, lamps, kitchen and whatnot 210. In our house, a couple with a child could live comfortably and still have 1 extra guest room.

Don’t worry about it... many here are simply "dreamers"... unfortunately you don’t hear from people anymore when the "dream" has burst... we ended up all-in at over one million... certainly including one or another luxury (KNX for example) but not really extravagant. In our immediate neighborhood, three houses are currently being built which I would rather call luxury (well over 300 sqm of living space, large underground garages, elevator (one even with a car elevator), rooftop pool, etc.). Our house is really far from that. Construction costs have simply "exploded"... at least here in Central Germany...
