The knee wall is currently 0.75 m. More is not possible according to the building plan. But we will clarify that anyway. 1 m or 1.2 m would be our wish.

You misunderstood me with the stairs. I did not mean your stairs inside. I meant no one plans a staircase inside the house as a passage from the kitchen upstairs to the dining and living area downstairs. You plan something similar outside. Kitchen upstairs, living, playing, (garden) downstairs.

What kind of living climate do you imagine with wood?
If you plan solid wood, it could work without a concrete basement. We only have the retaining wall made of concrete, has a wooden cellar.

If you want a wooden facade, then the planner did not receive the information.

Whatever that is supposed to mean (?) Yes, it is here – at least the dormer. However, I would not have given it the gable that does not fit the house style, but a lean-to roof.

Apparently the planner presents you with a floor plan from the drawer and you just approve it, paying over 500,000 for a house that is built rather carelessly into the slope. Other possibilities? Maybe some planning around the desired open space on the hillside property, that would be my idea. Otherwise: if you like it, then everything is fine. We won’t make progress if everyone questions the long way into the garden, but you have a long fuse regarding this. Because ultimately most people here say that as it is now, it will be strange and inconvenient in everyday life and a bit of a pity for the garden and the money invested in such a house.

With photovoltaics and the construction method, the step to KfW40(+) is not far off anymore. I would have it calculated through if I were you...
