I also find the OP’s participation in the discussion somewhat lacking. Instead, there is stress among those who are thinking about it. Since I also tend to share the idea of that “if weird corners” exist, they belong centrally in the focus through all-room, large open staircase, or gallery as the heart of the house, and I have already suggested that constructively ( ), and since I certainly do not provide constructive drawings without interest, it remains with my few suggestions, because I believe the house planning is already more advanced than we all think.

Probably no one needs a hobby room and fitness room, many things are not needed that one has. A large room in the basement was desired and is definitely needed. The second one came up and can also be very practical. In the bedroom, we would not place the bed as drawn but rather on the exterior wall under the large window, so nightstands would fit as well. The utility room is planned as a pantry, with a freezer, shelves for food, drinks. So not for washing machine and laundry.

The house planning is not done yet. We have decided on the angle and will stick to it. Honestly, I did not expect so many negative opinions, but that’s okay, it makes you reconsider your decision. As said, the angle will remain, but it should be optimally used, and a few suggestions have already been made.

All good again! It was simply too much criticism and towards everyone. Done!

I have looked at the bend again in relation to the property - it would be consistent if the bend reflected the angle of the property boundaries and took on the function, together with the garden design, of creating an inner courtyard atmosphere.

I’m totally with you, but that would probably stretch the budget even further.

So far, I’m still waiting for the statement that costs of around €7,000,000 are still manageable – but apart from insisting on the kink, I haven’t heard any approval for that yet.

I’ll say it again: with the kink, nothing will come under €700k – you can complain all you want.
I fully agree with Hampshire: relating the house shape to the property is appealing, but then it requires a suitable garden design, which also costs.

Is all that even possible?

No one here feels like making concrete suggestions or proposals with the thought in the back of their mind that it won’t be financially feasible anyway.

So once again the very concrete question: the kink is supposed to stay – is it financially feasible for you?
Forget the cost estimates; there’s enough expertise here and it has been SAID MULTIPLE TIMES that the 7 will be the figure in front.
Is that doable for you?

If you still don’t believe it, go to a local carpenter and just get an estimate for the roof structure. Maybe that will help you realize...
