Thank you for this draft, the kitchen does appear quite open here. We have now further pursued the podium variant during the architect meeting.

I would like to place the kitchen in the west, for the same reasons you mentioned. However, this makes the cooking and dining area very long and we have no space for the toilet. We do not want the utility room to be only 5 sqm, so we cannot put the toilet in there.

I look forward to suggestions for the kitchen layout to still get a terrace door in and also ideas to bring light from the west into the ground floor.

Hello,

unfortunately, there is still too little information about the framework conditions. is not entirely wrong, new requirements call for a new approach. If buildings on the property only have to comply with the respective boundary distances and no development plan stipulates other specifications, I would aim for the following solution:

Positioning

    [*]House far to the northeast
    [*]House longer and instead narrower, southeast corner possibly as an extension
    [*]Garage far to the northwest, possibly with the necessary distance from the street (often according to the development plan)
    [*]Wall as enclosure towards the street

Room layout

    [*]Kitchen and dining area in the southwest
    [*]Living room in the southeastern extension
    [*]Utility room in the northeast
    [*]Technology, storage room and WC in the northwest
    [*]Entrance and wardrobe in the west

Garden in the southwest towards the street, shielded by the enclosure. If enclosures are not possible, the garage can possibly be used as a barrier for shielding itself through attached storage rooms in connection with the rubbish bin shed.
