Hello dear ones,

I need your opinion. My shared flat urgently needs a new shelf for the shared kitchen - otherwise, someone will seriously get hurt someday when the pots fall out of the overcrowded cupboards every time the door is opened.

Unfortunately, we have a small decision problem. So far, all I've heard from my flatmates is: "Yes, a shelf... mh... well, shelves would be great." Yep. OK. That's why I've now decided to just buy one and take it with me when I move out later.

But I have the problem that I am just as indecisive as my flatmates.

The options are:
Laxvik: I find it very stylish - I just don't know how quickly it scratches, since it has glass shelves.
Lerberg: I already have that as a bookshelf - but I'm undecided if it really suits the kitchen.
Albert: mh - classic - simple - wood

OK - which one would you want to put in the (student) kitchen?

So the contents of the shelf will probably be a colorful mix of groceries and dishes - maybe a potted plant.

And our kitchen actually has gray fronts, partly also kind of frosted glass. Then there is a small dark brown cabinet that someone once talked his grandma into giving away and a black table with many different chairs. And then there are two sky-blue walls.... more or less.... oh yes - it's kind of a catacomb-like kitchen: it's a basement apartment and we don't have a proper window in that room, just one of those skylight-like things.

I hope that was a bit visual....

So I have already found my shelf among the four again :D

I recently integrated the good ALBERT into my kitchen. And I am really satisfied! I put pots and pans on the bottom and the higher the shelf, the lighter the stuff :) The thing is really sturdy. I can only recommend it to you.

I used the top shelf to bring a bit of green into my otherwise very simply colored kitchen, and plants really look good up there :D

Hej,

so I also think Albert is great in a wooden kitchen, but not so much with "grey fronts, partly also frosted glass."
There I would also recommend Lerberg to you. With Laxvik you have a hell of a job and what’s left is more for a garage, right?

Have fun with Lerberg, super practical with the different sizes.
You can always add something, etc.

groetjes,
alex

Thank you for your suggestions - let's see if I can make it to the Ikea store I trust over the weekend. If so, I'll probably have new stories on the topic: With Ikea on the bus - for you..... or I'll steal a car...
