Shading of roof windows in the living room - experiences / tips?

I replaced the translucent sunshade on my Velux roof windows with roller shutters, the sunshade simply did almost nothing ...

Man, I'm really glad I let myself be persuaded not to have a skylight... actually wanted one above the bed ;)

Be glad. We are currently sleeping under one in our apartment and when it rains, only my boyfriend sleeps because I stand upright in bed because of the noise. By the way, this window is also continuously covered by an interior roller blind with thermal coating, otherwise you get grilled. And this window is even rather small.

I have always suspected that girls are a bit strange. How can anyone not sleep to something as comforting as the soothing sound of rain pattering against a closed window? *shakes head*

I would much rather have a really deep sleep too, but unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with that. Even if euro bills gently fell on the window, were caught and automatically credited to my checking account, I still couldn’t sleep any better.
