I know. But every wall confines. Possibly a half-high wall at the foot end is charming; sideways I would work with semi-transparency. It's also nice and cozy and provides privacy. Consider who else besides you wants to vacation there. I wouldn’t plan two children’s rooms (4 beds?), rather one children’s room and one bedroom. Then you have a 25sqm large room for a loungy sofa and a big dining table, where you can also easily spend rainy days. Personally, I don’t know anyone who would voluntarily want to feel cramped on vacation (except campers, but even they tend towards a spacious awning between fiberglass and awning).

How about a sofa bed? I'm sure there is one of a quality that you can sleep well on. Then you wouldn't have to cram the room so full. I also find the idea of the [Schrankbett] exciting.

I also thought of a folding bed or similar, but now this solution. TV can go anywhere.

As a family, a large table is more important to us than a sectional sofa on vacation. We eat at the table and we play there. In fact, in some holiday homes we have used the living room or sofa only as a storage area and nothing more. A rocking chair or comfortable armchair is used occasionally. However, we are more active vacationers and the accommodation mainly serves for sleeping and eating, regardless of the weather.

Where is the good piece located? East: countryside, Harz or lake district?

A sofa bed is not an option. Who wants to constantly put the bed away on vacation?
