A hems is a sleeping space that does not have full standing height. In many Danish holiday homes, there are room layouts where a niche or closet is used to integrate a sleeping place without defining a separate bedroom for it. Often these sleeping places are simply separated by a curtain, so that the sleeping area is not visible during the day. Definitely in any case. Under the term "chalet," especially in the Netherlands and Belgium, there are a lot of floor plans for small spaces.
