Many thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts! I would be very interested to know: how sensitive are your two Senso floors and how does this manifest? Can the floor’s sensitivity be compared to tiles or rather to parquet? How about furniture marks or how does the floor react, for example in the area of dining chairs, which are always pushed back and forth? Do you see first signs of wear and if so, where/how did these occur and how pronounced are they? Sorry for prying, but I’m very glad to have "come across" someone who already has experience with the Senso floor :) Of course, I would be happy to receive an answer. Best regards!Hello, we have been living with a Senso floor since last December. On the ground floor we have Bcrete (so that the floor is a bit "harder" there) and upstairs, where the children's rooms are, we have Fusion as a "softer" variant.
Of course, I can't say anything about the durability yet...
For us, it was important when choosing that the floor is good for sitting, lying down, barefoot walking, the seamless installation throughout the entire floor (and no seams even in the showers), that it is easy to clean, as well as the plant-based raw material and sustainability.
So far, we are very satisfied in all these areas. It is really great to walk and sit on. You just have to be careful with (wool) socks, as it has almost caused everyone in the family to slip out of the curve at some point...
We visited the showroom in Munich and "felt" the floor there. Due to the Corona peak phase, we could not visit "real" users but only talk on the phone.
The integration into our construction cost us some nerves. On the one hand, because no one knew it yet: general contractor not, screed layer not, installer not (because of the shower channel), tiler (sealing to wall tiles) not - that required several phone calls, personal visits from the Senso people, and always following up. But everything was solvable. On the other hand, because Senso has a very tight schedule. They need the construction site to themselves for a week, which is scheduled right at the beginning so that no dust gets on the floor. And the tiler, stair builder, sanitary installation should all be finished. We actually felt we had a lot of buffer time, but it still was delayed so that it became tight to keep our appointment. And then nothing more would have been guaranteed in the calendar year. But that was also possible to arrange.
That’s it for now. If you want to know anything else - gladly.
