In mine, more partition walls are measured than in your plan. Just look at your small 60 cm wall stubs in the kitchen, those can also be made in mine. But mine also has an additional concrete partition wall, which you don’t have ;) And if the partition wall between the hallway and dining area is too short for you, then just make it longer ;) But of course, it’s up to you to like something or not :)

Yes, you are right. The floor space will probably be quite similar.

I have also furnished your draft to scale and with the existing furniture. And here I had to enlarge the living room area at the expense of the kitchen, then it no longer fit together so well.

The staircase in the living/dining area is also a critical point. I prefer a separation of the areas. So staircase in the hallway.

I don’t think the ground floor is bad at all.

Yours is basically in the kitchen ;)

Hmm... true. Although I would at least have the option to close it with a sliding door. In reality, it will be open 90% of the time...

Conversion to an open variant would of course also be feasible....

Do you also have comments on the upper floor?

Best regards
Sebastian

Your renovation is deceptive. You place furniture where it originally isn't, so sockets, power lines, etc. aren't actually where you need them for the renovation. Load-bearing walls will be the cross walls to the staircase... Well then: I won't say anything about the upper floor. Compare mine and yours. If the hallway doesn't bother you... but the division for the parents including the storage room will probably be a bit more sensible in my plan

With the kitchen being too small, I do not think the width of the aisle between the rows was meant, but rather the ratio of workspace and storage meters to household size. For a family household, it is a pizza-order kitchen where nothing fresh is made except coffee and smoothies. Otherwise, it is too small – tearing down a partition wall to the living room and pushing aside a short kitchen unit does not change that.
