So far we have only made minor changes during the construction phase.
But that's also because we pedantically planned for more than a year and we are building with individual contracts.
You have to reach the point where you say to yourself, "Now it fits."
Only things that then appear during the construction phase that do not correspond with the original idea I would tackle again....
100% is the goal but practically not achievable. Here in the forum there is a thread where someone is trying. I'm curious to see how it turns out.
I would really be interested in this thread. Where is it?
I see it like you do. With the first house, I spent most of the time in the construction pit, on the roof, or somewhere else. Interior design was done somehow (back then there was no internet... oh dear...). At the moment we are planning again and will probably start soon, but with a different approach and focus than before. It is by no means easier but we take time for details, colors, but also reduction, because you don’t need every nonsense. Back then I had it like this, it was expensive, colorful but ultimately it had no consistent style or direction. If something ultimately goes wrong this time then it comes out again immediately, and that’s that. But that can possibly be prevented by extensive planning. I think you have to recognize yourself where your weaknesses are in the idea and then find someone who has created beautiful things for themselves and has an eye for it.
