Just wait until you actually live there. There will also be quite a few things you no longer like and other things that you find perfect. It's completely normal.

I thought so too - all the more the reaction surprised and confused me. Seems it’s not taken that often overall.

After making a decision too quickly, we scraped out all the grout from the floor tiles in an entire room because, no matter how you look at it, it simply wasn’t visually appealing. The effort taught us a lesson.

I find tiles especially extremely difficult to truly assess in terms of their effect beforehand. It’s not so much about the tile itself that you see in the showroom, but rather about the impact of the combination of tile size/color/texture with the laying pattern and grout color/width. And you simply can’t view that 1:1 beforehand; it requires imagination. Because of the grout color being too light, we had an extreme grid pattern that dominated the entire room. Now, several shades darker, the floor appears very harmonious.

I also found that the most difficult. You then stand in the bathroom exhibition of the GU in the middle of such a huge tile collection and have to choose something. I would have preferred different tasteful bathroom lines that you can then customize in detail. So we all asked ourselves the questions that regularly come up here as well: how high to tile, where at all, which laying pattern, floor and wall same formats or not - difficult. Even 1000 Pinterest pictures didn't really help. The Villeroy & Boch bathroom planner allowed a pretty good visualization. I would like to start over and change a few things again - but too late, the bathrooms will be finished next week. Hope it looks good...

We were lucky to be able to take a look at a private individual who had installed the same tile at home. Otherwise, we are more likely to struggle with assortment changes, for example the Dornbracht bathroom fittings, which I would actually have liked very much in "dark brass matt," are no longer available and also with the vertical awnings, the fabric I selected is no longer offered...
