Well, that hardly has any significance yet, because a lot can still change with full development, and then there is the wind factor. Depending on the direction and strength, one and the same spot can be perceived completely differently.

Until recently, we lived for two years only 450 meters from the railway line (Regio and S-Bahn). In between, there were only 2 single-family houses. It didn’t bother me at all; I found it very quiet. Most of the time, I didn’t notice it at all, and when it was quiet outside and you actually heard the train arriving, it was only very subtle. The main street directly in front of the garden was much more disturbing.

By the way, we now live 2 km away from the railway, and somehow there is only a slight difference in noise intensity.

I forgot to mention that at our apartment building, where we lived until recently, there was no soundproof wall.
