Exactly, it will be gutted/core renovated. Everything in the area of heating, plumbing, and electrical will be newly done. All pipes will be replaced and it is also not a problem in the area where the basement is. Wall openings must, of course, all be structurally sound, and I am also aware that steel beams will then be used. As said, we are open to everything there. In our eyes, it is more new construction than renovation, requirements due to external dimensions, stairs, partial basement, load-bearing walls. Maybe that was not communicated well.

Indeed.
So tabula rasa.
Yes, then I generally agree with the first proposal. I would repurpose the room behind the stairs as an office and playroom.

I can't make sense of this either... And information about who is supposed to fit there, I have to pull from the older post or note it down by hand.
You can't just theoretically tear down walls that easily. You need to know what the existing structure is.

So I looked at my original post again. I realized that unfortunately the names of the floor plans were not transferred, so there are probably misunderstandings. The first one is the current state, I formulated/presented that poorly. But why is it unclear who is supposed to find space? And regarding theoretically tearing down walls: that’s why I marked which ones are load-bearing.
