Hello everyone,
my family and I are slowly going crazy and hope that someone here can give us some tips.
Background:
We have electric roller shutters throughout the house. The switches for these are from the company Kaiser Nienhaus. At each window we have the [Tastor Comodo] and in the hallway as a central control the [Tastor Konsum] (without additional sensors).
Now, after about 4 years, we had the problem that the roller shutters at the large windows on the ground floor (plastic) failed one after another. They stayed closed and could no longer be raised. Since the installer did not get back to us, I had to turn to another one from the area. He convincingly made me understand that plastic was not a good idea given the window size and recommended replacing these large windows with an aluminum version. We had that done.
Now - a few days after the replacement - some roller shutters went down automatically. Usually 1 or 2 at a time and often the same ones. It is clearly recognizable that this happens 90% of the time in wet weather - so I suspect a connection with the installation of the aluminum roller shutters. As a precaution, I replaced the central [Tastor Konsum] with a new one - unfortunately without improvement. The installer vehemently denies having anything to do with it and refers to electricians.
Now before I bring an expert into the house - do you have any ideas? Does there have to be a control system somewhere else in the house besides the switches mentioned above? Unfortunately, the electrical company that was involved during construction is no longer on the market.
It is really driving me crazy... Thank you very much for any tip!
Best regards Robert
