Don’t worry, even with our 700 sqm, every meter is checked multiple times in the garden planning to see if you really want to "use" it.
This is one of those moments where I can hardly believe that we found a plot in 2 months and a pretty good one at that.
Look: plot 48 does not have any encroachment over the boundary to 49 – is it perhaps an illegal construction? Where the encroachment is, however, there would not be a building area anyway, so assuming setback areas would not be problematic. I hope you have received my message and successfully contacted the expert (?)The plot (49) is to be newly surveyed as attached.
We have been actively looking for plots since around 2017 and then found the current one in 2019. Nevertheless, I kept searching in the meantime and during all that time there was not a single plot on the market.
But I also changed my opinion about the topic "building once in a lifetime" since about the middle of the construction. Namely when it started that we had to think about every half meter on the plot whether we could sacrifice it or not.
For someone with 500+ sqm of land that may sound ridiculous, but with 389 sqm we did not have that luxury.
For one it is normal, for another not. Until 2019, I would never have thought that we would ever build once in a lifetime.
I also wouldn’t move for fun, but because we hope for more freedom on our own land. And with our general contractor almost everything ran smoothly regarding the construction. So smoothly that we would gladly build with them again, just differently.
We leave the topic of the child and moving away aside; the plot is only about 1 km from the current one.
I currently have a new build that I haven’t even moved into yet, so there is no question of it being nicer, newer, or bigger.
Only the plot would be bigger and would allow a bit more privacy. Nothing more and nothing less.
And I don’t have the plot yet, maybe the whole issue will resolve itself because the seller changes her mind or someone else is faster or whatever, and that would be totally fine too.
And even if it sounds silly, if you can afford it without having to turn over every cent in the middle of the month—why not?!
