Hmm.. yes, I've thought about something like that too. If they refuse me entry, that would of course be bad. Yes, we are painting. I just wouldn't have thought that the plastering work would then be considered defect-free.

it’s just the question of what is stated in your contract, whether you have reported the defect in writing, whether you are building according to the Building Code or VOB...

The thread progression has meanwhile clearly shown why the attitude “I won’t pay the final installment because of small stuff, won’t accept anything or withhold disproportionately much money,” let’s call it the hit-and-run method, isn’t always the best. The original poster actually wants to move in at some point. More precisely, in three weeks. If that doesn’t work, for practical or formal reasons (acceptance granted by moving in, etc.), it has very different consequences for him than chasing after a plasterer. So stay a bit more relaxed and don’t see only black and white. You won’t finish a house with stubborn mode.

Your remarks about the VOB with all due respect, but as a rule the private builder builds according to the Building Code (or ineffectively according to VOB = Building Code)

So I still don't understand. It must have been clear where and how the windows were supposed to go, right? Was it executed that way and then changed afterwards, or was it executed differently and therefore changed again?

The problem was that we have different roller shutters (for normal and venetian blinds). However, the roller shutter boxes are different depths for the variations. So the entire window construction is slightly different.
There is no clear drawing of how the windows are supposed to be installed. The window installer decided to install the windows with the venetian blinds deeper, which of course looked impossible. The window surface was then almost flush with the interior wall. He could have asked beforehand.
After I insisted, the windows with venetian blinds were then moved further outward again.
