What is the goal supposed to be - what should be controlled and how? For example, if someone moves in the room, to increase the temperature of the underfloor heating so that it is warm three hours later? Depending on your goals, there may be other/more sensible solutions.

The room controllers in our previous house also displayed temperature values. When the controllers were installed in the new house, they only showed numbers from snowflake to 6. There is also a dot at "4". I spoke to the craftsman about this, and he said temperature values are not exact anyway. That's why there are now numbers.. you adjust them to where it feels comfortable.

Sounds all interesting. However, it doesn't give me a better feeling. When I hear it like this, a thermostat for underfloor heating doesn't seem to be that great. Can normal radiators be controlled better with smart devices? Do they respond faster?

It doesn't matter at all whether they are smart or not. When radiators are turned up, hot water immediately flows through them and you instantly have a measurable effect on the room temperature. Underfloor heating, on the other hand, can take several hours to warm up (and of course also to cool down again if it gets too warm – unless you open the windows) – it is very sluggish. That is why, in heating installations, especially in new buildings (underfloor heating), the heating system is exactly tailored to the needs of the occupants so that you no longer have to fiddle with the controls and they are no longer needed. Large temperature differences hardly occur anymore in new buildings anyway.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Since I still want to stick with a digital display, I have now found an inexpensive thermostat that meets my requirements. Apparently, a smart control via underfloor heating is not the ideal solution due to its sluggishness.

I am still a beginner in this area. But how do I solve the "problem" that I want 25 degrees Celsius in the living room and bathroom, but only 18 degrees in the bedroom? And that the 25 degrees in the living room should not be all day long, but only when I am at home, and not at night either? It is clear to me that underfloor heating is sluggish. Therefore, my thought was to set it to the desired temperature in the respective room, but already several hours earlier, and then also let it cool down earlier. Doesn't that work like that?
