Rainwater must be obligatorily infiltrated

How much does a cistern cost? Or what can you expect if you have it installed? We will be building into the slope, so soil will probably have to be redistributed anyway. If you were to include the cistern as part of that, what cost can you estimate? I have zero imagination for that.

Ours costs about 800,- new, as a display model (it was just dusty on the outside) we got it for under 400 euros. The mini excavator was in the garden at the time anyway, the additional hole wasn’t really big for us (flat tank), it was dug out in 15 minutes. Then we dug a trench for the overflow and put a concrete cover from the building supply store on it for 40 euros, done. So it can also be kept relatively cheap, of course there are no upper limits as always...

We have installed a faucet right next to the cistern at the edge. After that, I also buried a fixed hose along the property boundary to the back into the ground and installed a second faucet there. The pump easily manages to operate two dispensing points.

You can easily make something, for example a small wooden box with a flap. I wouldn’t find your example nice either. We will have a water tap at the house, and I plan to connect 1-2 additional tapping points in the garden via pipeline. I’ll have to check the details once the house is built, but if possible, I don’t want to constantly lay a 20m hose across the property.

I had one (similar) with a fresh water connection set up on the construction site for the construction workers and will install it in the garden later... For water in between, for washing hands after gardening, etc., actually very practical.
