The question somehow slipped by, so as motivation to cover as much photovoltaics as possible: Rooftop photovoltaics are the best and cheapest heat protection you can get. Make the roof as smooth, straight-lined, and unshaded as possible and put photovoltaics on as much as possible. For a flat roof, also on the northern roof surfaces. And if everything is covered with photovoltaics anyway, the roof tile/shingle doesn’t matter:

Although I’m not really a fan of black – in combination with all-black photovoltaic modules, black roof tiles do make sense.

As said, apparently it does matter whether stone or brick is used for the subsequent installation of a photovoltaic system (see above).

Interesting, thanks! I didn’t realize that...

The plan is to cram on as much as possible, north side will be tough, hipped roof with 23° and one of the long sides is north, but still the right approach I’d say...

I’ve read several times now about “all-black,” is that something special? Do you need that, are they better or just more expensive... As I said, I probably never see my roof, as long as the things aren’t pig pink I don’t really care about the color... The frame is black anyway, right?

We happened to choose the Nehlskamp "Nibra" by chance anyway, originally it was supposed to be Creaton. The Nehlskamp was quickly available and we wanted a flat tile that was neither completely black nor too light gray, just one of those dozen shades in between. Now they are installed and I think you shouldn't worry too much about it, as long as the shape and color are right and you have clarity about [Ton/Beton].

With a well-insulated roof, you will not be able to feel the temperature of the roof tiles.

All-black modules are not different, special, or better, they are simply black. And no, a black frame is not standard; the normal modules have aluminum-natural frames and busbars and simply look really ugly. Where we are, all-black is even mandatory, but the surcharge is so low that I would have done it anyway. I don't even want to imagine it in 80s satellite look.

Something else: hip roof... does it have to be, or can you still be convinced otherwise? I thought the house was supposed to be modern.
