It does happen that individual plots are different. Here in the village we have such an area: everything is completely unproblematic, just push away a bit of topsoil and start building. In between, two plots where pile foundations are necessary.

The general soil survey report can no longer replace the individual one.

Gravel can accumulate here and there; on the neighbor's property, it can look completely different again...
In any case, the homebuilder cannot provide any warranty if this own soil survey report is waived.

Our construction site varies from m to m. Some had to blast, others chiseled for days, and others had only a few meters of rock.
Our soil report looked like this: not drillable after 56cm. That’s fun

So please have your own report created and do the drillings where the house is supposed to stand and not in random corners of the site.

Exactly - I did not intend to advise skimping on the "own" report. Of course, the neighbor's is not suitable. In a report for an entire construction area, however, the sampling points should be spread out widely enough to make indications of inhomogeneity recognizable. The more locations are examined, the less likely it becomes that anomalies were only accidentally missed.

We have now had the opportunity to talk to the surrounding neighbors. Only one built without a basement, and except for one, no one had a soil survey done. Apart from larger stones/rocks, nothing serious has come to light. I think it is purely a matter of cost. Does anyone have experience with Kern-Haus?

Hello,

Briefly about the slope, we had a height difference of 2.4 m over 31 meters, thought that wasn’t much either...

It's about 750 cubic meters, thus 1.5 tons.
Calculate beforehand, otherwise easily 10,000 - 15,000 euros more will come at you, which will literally be disposed of and were not planned.

We calculated with 430 cubic meters and 860 tons, in the end it was the above value...

Please do not underestimate!!!

Best regards
