Good evening everyone.

I have a question.
About 4 weeks ago, we visited bathroom studios for our house construction and sampled as many items as possible for both bathrooms.
Unfortunately, we have not received a list of the sampled items from the bathroom studio.

Today, the offer came from the installer, through whom we now want to source the items.
The problem is now:

1. The offer contains neither a list of components nor anything, only modules like: Bathtub including labor €2000.
Toilet including labor €1400.

2. The company refuses to give us the list of components and to itemize the labor costs. Their argument is that we only wanted a shopping list.

3. For the deduction of the components included in the fixed price, for example, only €100 is deducted for the toilet + labor.

I feel "a bit" taken for a ride here, or is that normal behavior?

Point out to the nice man that you want a proper offer including the correct designation of the items to be installed. Otherwise, he can install whatever he wants.

You can put together a shopping list for Reuter at Reuter yourself. You don’t need the installer for that.

He exactly does not want to create this list for me. We have sampled and the listing of the items is now missing.

These are robber barons. You only beat them by sticking to the standard, living in it for a few weeks first, and then re-planning with the Ikea people and then updating it. Although you almost throw away almost new sinks and so on, you will save thousands. It is what it is. Sticking to the standard might scare him so much that he becomes more cooperative. But you also have to take it seriously. Karsten

So with us, every gasket set is listed. Can you talk to the person and explain what it's about? With the addition that you of course want a local installer and nothing from the internet? Can you choose another plumber? Or are you basically tied?

Unfortunately, nothing is listed at all. We were more or less given the provider since he also installs the heating system. But that is not set in stone. The problem is, we chose the items for a reason because we like them. Unfortunately, both the bathroom studio and the craftsman fail to provide any listing for us to review again. Also, since we have built it modularly to see what is possible price-wise and whether we should go in a different cost bracket for the small bathroom. I suspect I will not receive it because otherwise, it would turn out that he deducts far too little for the standard items (if he wants nearly €1000 for the installation of a toilet but only credits us €100 for the standard toilet including labor). I am used to receiving and also submitting transparent offers; this approach seems very questionable to me. But if he continues like this, then we will set out to find a new partner for this trade.
