Hello,

you have to keep in mind that the prices of the sanitary companies include installation and thus also warranty and guarantee for proper functionality. This is not the case if you install the items yourself.

We had the sanitary items installed directly by the sanitary company. However, we obtained the furniture from the furniture store. There were also matching washbasin cabinets for our sink, etc. We liked the furniture much better and it cost only half as much compared to those offered to us by the sanitary company.

I had already written something about this here.
Edit: See here

I rather don’t think so, and if they do, they’ll certainly charge well for it. To be honest, I wouldn’t feel like doing the "dirty work" just because someone thinks they have to buy online. And that’s where it starts in my opinion. Toilet is dripping... is it the product or the installation... .

"He should buy online" sounds harsh now! That's why I say that I'm looking for a healthy mix....

Yes, healthy for you - for no one else.

Yeah, a bit, yes...... only I once got badly burned there, it was about kitchen appliances ordered on the Internet that I installed...... never again.

Jochen 104 already explained why:

Siggi is absolutely right there:

How do you want to take product liability on yourself?

That’s usually the craftsman price that you find too expensive:
Toilet at the installer 200€ including installation, small parts and warranty
... at Reuter 100€.
Additionally at Reuter you get some rubber lips, adapters, pipes, individual adjustments from an external installer, common installation costs from the installer and the installation warranty. If you can save 40 euros on that, that might seem great at first, but what if complications arise later? The installer can blame the problem on the material. You might then pay double or have to sue for your rights – if you’re even in the right and others see it that way...

Laugh, just imagine a customer coming to me and saying that I have my prints done at lab xy. My work is tailored to z. For a layman, everything always looks the same
