Hello dear community, I am slowly getting desperate. In November 2014, I bought a kitchen from Ikea and have now gotten the 2nd siphon from Ikea because it keeps leaking at the drain under the sink. Meanwhile, there have already been 2 minor floods in the kitchen and it is really annoying.
Does anyone know this problem?

Regards, dejan

I suspect that the extendable collector from the siphon, to which the washing machine drain is also connected, is simply too heavy and therefore the seal on one side at the sink drain gets air. In addition, the water no longer stays in the sink despite the drain being pressed shut but slowly drains away.

Hello,
I have had the siphon for 6 years and have not had any problems with it. The dishwasher drain is also connected to it for me.
The hose coming off the siphon also supports the whole thing for me.
Is the metal sheet of the sink perfectly flat at the hole?

Have you seen water coming out between the sink and the siphon? Or could it be another spot?

The seal of the drain strainer seals independently. If the seal is fine, something must be wrong with the metal part of the drain, but that was replaced...

Good morning, I did not cut the siphon hose. The water comes out exactly at the gasket, where the hole of the sink is located, directly where the siphon drain connects to the sink.

If it runs out towards the siphon and the metal of the sink has no (slight) dent under the drain, then test whether the siphon can be installed with the pipe pushed further in and a shorter hose. Otherwise, I would screw a hook into the countertop (assuming wood) and securely tie the siphon, turned backwards, for stabilization. The screw on the drain must of course also be tightened sufficiently. If that doesn’t help, Plastic Fermit could solve the problem instead of the gasket.
